In 1895, Léon Bourgeois and his siblings purchased a mill located on the banks of the Petit Morin, and their descendants have continued to operate the business ever since. They have carefully maintained the company's size, ensuring it is neither too large nor too small. This approach allows them to invest in machinery and equipment while still maintaining a personal connection with their clients.

The company considers all of its employees as part of the Bourgeois family. With 150 experts who share the values of modesty and excellent customer service, they strive to provide the best possible service to artisanal bakers.

A Commitment to Local Sourcing

Moulins Bourgeois is fortunate to be situated in Seine-et-Marne, right in the heart of the Paris basin, which is known as Europe's breadbasket. Recognizing the importance of supporting local farmers, we have made the deliberate choice to exclusively source French grain grown within a 200 km radius around our mill.

The local climate and soil conditions in the region ensure that our agricultural raw materials are of the highest quality. In addition, we have established contracts and strong partnerships with farmers who supply organic grain. We work only with like-minded individuals who, like us, have a genuine passion for what they do.
